Baskets Against Brain Tumors is an annual fund-raising event held in memory of our son, Connell Anastasi. Connell was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 26 months of age. Connell battled his illness with amazing strength. During his six months of treatment at CHOP, he endured seven surgeries and massive amounts of aggressive chemotherapy. Sadly, he earned his angel wings on March 20, 2001. We, together with family and friends, are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of other children with brain tumors. To date, $107,000.00 has been raised, in honor and memory of Connell, and supports neuro-oncology research at CHOP.
